I should also mention that the welding for the battery box looks good as well. Is it common to have a battery in the swingarm? I've not seen it before, but that isn't saying a whole lot really. Any known issues with shaking and vibrating? Will you have any rubber or foam to damp vibrations and keep the battery and box from wearing holes in each other?

no it isn't, but there really is no place else to site the battery - the 2 stroke oil tank sees to that. It is however, nice and low so keeps the weight in an ideal place. I will put some thin rubber on the base and sides to prevent chafing and the lid will have a rubber mat inside too. Time will tell...........

I really like the battery box, looks nicely done and uses dead space. It is close to the pivot which helps minimize movement. Will there be a cover over it,or does the inner fender keep the crud off of it?
