today I have been mostly fitting the Kettle air box - the tw*t put up a hell of a fight - had to remove the original Katana air box mounting bracket on the frame, the Kettle air box side cover mounting lugs and the inlet trunking on the rear of the air box to get it somewhere near. Then I had to beat some subtle dents into the air box upper rear to allow it it to clear the top frame tubes. Funny how an air box for a 3 cylinder 2-stroke is as wide as that for a 4 cylinder 4-stroke, but it's in at last.............

although the air box mountings are far from central in the Katana frame..........

tine for some more welding..........

Just shows how different engines are in different generations.
Nothing straightforward in a 'special' build.
Lovely job so far. Do you still have hair or is it mostly on the garage floor now?

That pipe won't make a lot of power, but it will sound awesome. That could be enough for what you want. It looks good!!!

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

My GT550K pulled over a ton on the Isle of man with a 3-1, so the 750 should do more.

not chasing outright power with this bike, but I have heard that the 3-1 exhausts do improve low and mid-range, which is fine for the road.
Sounding awesome is a bonus

Looks great so far. Very ambitious. Have you thought about the battery affecting unsprung weight? Its a very novel idea to fit it in the swingarm. I am guessing you will fit very flexible fine-strand cable to avoid wires breaking? I can't wait to see the finished item. I reckon its going to be a rare beauty!
