2) I don't particularly want to use the stock steering damper. should I use an aftermarket one? Can I go without one? Any advice?
Steve here are some photos of steering damper installed on the Repli-Racer as requested:

To mount I picked up an existing hole in lower triple clamp that was for steering lock, and fabricated a spacer with two 8mm threads that attaches between damper and frame. I drilled a hole in frame for securing screw.

Thanks for posting that. Very helpful. Now I have to decide whether I will go with one or not. I know you have a couple of these bikes. Do you notice a big difference between stock damper or the NHK?

To be honest I didn't notice any difference between the two dampers. The Titan is a fairly stable chassis, makes me wonder is one is needed, especially for street riding.

three months later and my Higgspeed chambers finally arrives. They are truly a work of art. They bolted right on without any fitment issues and they sure do look pretty! Now I need to figure out if the titan rearsets I am looking at will fit.

I think I decided on my color scheme too. I just wish I had photoshop skills to mock up the colors before I commit. The frame and Bedlam Werks rear seat cowl will be blue. Hopefully the seat will be coming next week. The tank will be chrome plated with a panel or stripe using the same color blue as the frame and seat. I might change my mind, but that's what I am thinking as of right now. I like the BMW Estoril blue seen below.

Those pipes are indeed purty!!! Worth the wait in the end I'd say.

Look great and also look like the Titan stainless steel pipes .

Yes they do look like the titan chambers. I would have preferred to give the business to a fellow board member here. But, the only reason I didn't go with Titan was because my headers were trashed. The titan chambers require you to use your stock headers. I liked the one piece design of the Higgies since my headers were all rusted out anyways. I also looked into Jemco, but that would have cost more by the time I got them nickel plated.

Now I just wait until Titan chimes in regarding whether he thinks his rearsets will fit so I can get those ordered.

Can't see why they wouldn't fit,.....if anything I would say our pipes are a little higher.[*]Image[*]

small update.
Got the seat pan today from Bedlam Werks. This pan is some quality stuff! It is solid, well made, and looks awesome! I couldn't be happer. I think it fits really well with the seat and frame.

Can't decide on color scheme. Thinking one of two possible schemes:

1: royal blue powder coated frame with silver tank and seat with maybe a matching blue stripe down center of tank and seat

2: silver frame with royal blue tank and seat and maybe a silver stripe down center.

I kinda like the bikes I have seen with a blue frame. The advantage of going with route number 1 is that I can have the tank and seat powder coated with same blue rather than paying more to have it panted. Probably more durable too!

The blue on either choice would be similar to the BMW estoril blue seen a couple posts back on this thread

Thoughts?

I think you might be right. I keep going back and forth depending on the day. Initially I was pretty set on the blue frame, but I worry I might get sick of that look.
