Getting really close Dave. When do you expect to initiate the blue smoke manufacturing process?

Nice house. If I tried that at home, I think I'd be sleeping in the garage with the bikes :?

What are you doing about mufflers and will you attach them to the stingers? I need to work that out for some that I am modifying so I need your good ideas before I come up with less good ideas. Seems to me that your solutions are often neater than mine.

Thanx Richard , My thought has been toward welding the stinger / silencer core hard to the chamber and just have the outside of the silencer slide off to repack . That way i will not have to make up a flange to bolt to or springs to hold a slipon type . I got in the carbon fiber tube i had ordered but as you already saw its pretty thick and with that its way more heavy than i thought it would be .. the 35" section i purchased weighs close to 5lbs

I am soooo jealous that your bike is so near to completion and I am sat twiddling my thumbs waiting for my cylinder head to be returned from machining.

Looks great Dave

I did toy around with making a set of silencers today , i picked up a 35" length of carbon fiber tube off ebay so i sawed it up into 3~ 10" long sections and then made up end caps from a old set of steel silencers i had made before for another project Image

Changing from the fuel injection system to carbs required changing fuel pumps over to a low pressure carbed model . I was happy to find this pump with level senders in very good shape  .. one more problem off the list Image

pardon my ignorance Dave, but does that pump fuel (gas) straight to the carbs or to a header tank which then feeds the carbs via gravity?
