Thanks Gary and Richard.

Yep...Im the first Manufacturers Cup - Super Eliminator Champion. :D Had a great time racing with some of the best 2-stroke racers down at Valdosta. The racing format was straight from the IDBA days where each bike runs off the national record for their cc displacement and chassis subclass. I.e Stock, Modified, Altered, Laydown, or Dragster.

Butch Million from TN was on fire with his H-2. He was #1 Qualifier on Saturday and made a monster blast that lowered the national record by half a second...

The GT750 was super consistent all weekend. Made 7 passes and 5 were 9.9's. The other two were 10.0's We had a new guy join Super Eliminator. He is out of Atlanta and his H2 will be a contender over the next few years. Nice bike and a super nice guy! Johnny McClendon.

It was a relatively small field of bikes but due to the race format, each bike was a national record holder and could run those numbers. It was a great format and a ton of fun racing with some of the best.

Great job Kevin, I watched it on the live feed. I was planning on making the trip, but could not find anyone to ride down with and got feeling a little bad just before.

Thanks.... well next year it looks as though there will be Man Cup races in Ohio and I really hope you can come to it. As soon as I get the details (which should be within a few weeks) I will post it here on this forum. I know there are a few people on here that are going to be more involved in SE during 2015. Im really looking forward to that. Glad you got to watch the live feed. Ive watched it more than a few times myself since I got back....

Yep...that was one of the Qualifying Rounds on Saturday. In Qualifying, the lights go down the tree on both sides at the same time so both bikes leave at the same time. During Eliminations, they go down at different times based upon your dial in so theoretically, both bike will cross the finish line at the same time.

You can see just how fast Baxter bike is running an 8.40 dial. Alex Hughes is the rider and is considered to be one of the best in the country.

Great picture of the launch Kevin.

For next year what's the plan, lower and lighter and sidewinder pipes and even more power? Lectrons perhaps? Even higher compression? Nitrous? Turbo? Clutch upgrade? Reeds with extra transfer ports perhaps? Hollow titanium axles? Ti and Aluminum bolts and nuts? There are so many ways to spend money chasing those thousandths of a second.

Definitely lower and lighter.........
New hard tail back half
Raked
Backbone fuel cell
Aluminum triple trees
Lightened forks?
aluminum front axle
Aluminum wheelie bars
Aluminum tail section
aluminum side covers
Narrowed fiberglass tank shell
fiberglass front fender and headlight
"Downsized" brakes
Outboard sprocket bearing support

the only other thing I would do to the motor would be eliminate what's left of the water pump. .......

Get the bike down to about 280-285lbs.......put Brian Pretzel on it and go 8.80's

Dave,
while we are busy spending Kevin's hard earned cash, we should add a
Billet bottom triple clamp with aluminum stem and top nuts
Lighter front caliper
Lighter floating front disk with aluminum center
Billet top triple clamp
520 chain conversion with lightened front sprocket
Aluminum or TI ignition mounting bolts
Mill some of the surplus metal off the cylinder block. There's a lot of solid thick aluminum that can be shaved off.

Don't know how much that rear wheel weighs, but worth considering an FZR400 rear wheel and lightened disk with tiny Brembo caliper.

Use a stock water pump shell and make a press in plug to replace either the bearing or seal to block off the water - or make a plug that replaces the water pump. And replace those heavy steel front water drain plugs with aluminum or weld them shut.

And then add straight cut primaries and Nova transmission and slider or lock up clutch.

I do not want to add up that Santa list, but I know it would be just a touch outside my budget  :?

White... :?

That's all I could see, so I had to move some bikes to get to the other side and it says.... 18 MT4.00 and it takes a 150/17 tire.

Seca 2 was 3.5 IIRC and used a 130 rear tire.

Or he could go with a GSXR/R1/etc 6" rear wheel which would be even lighter and go for a 7" tire, but that is probably just carrying extra weight for no good reason.

What tires/rims do the faster H2 guys like your selves run?

Some of us are stuck with stock skinny wheels

I believe Kevin ' s is 5.5 or 5.75x18 laced to a flat track hub............not the lightest setup out there, but not terrible.......he's already running a 7 in tire
