Being from the other side of the pond, I’m not sure what you said.

Some common gudgeon pin circlips just look like bits of bent wire - like the ones on your youtube link, but others are like a letter 'e' with an internal tang that can be gripped with long nosed pliers to install or remove them, or even with 2 internal tangs to make it easier.

Interesting. Learn something new every day.

Wiseco provides the circlips. Instuctions show the circlip gap facing up. This exposes the circlip wire at the notch.

Even crazier are the Spirolox retainining rings used in high performance car engines. Special tool for that job too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGvSWhS3WWM

those plain 'c' type circlips are the best and tbh i've never known one to come out, unless it's been re-used over and over, which is something i'd never do. but boy, are they a b'stard to fit? the 14mm ones are the worst by far and likely to go flying across the shed never to be found again. the legged circlips that alan mentioned are easy to fit, but also seem to come out on their own easier. i NEVER use them. if i get a piston kit and they're included they go straight in the bin :D
cheers, dd.

Test fit.
Using early T500 tank with the gold winged “S” badges. Gold on the “S” badges, tank stripe & brake disk are a close match.

Love the colours and the simplicity of the bike. Sometimes less is more.

Great work

Rear fender is going to be powder coated to match the frame. Front fender is a plastic & for some Suzuki GS. Will be shorted & painted.

Hi jabcb,

Wow, you have a great build going on there. I love the basic lines and style (and paint  ) .

Cheers Geoff
