If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

hey Dave,
What are you doing about instruments on the new bike? can you make the GSXR gauges work or do I recall you have the cluster already from Kawasaki or something?
I have an R1 cluster, but I'm not sure I'll ever manage to convert enough of the sensors and input to make it all work.
I'm sure you have a far more exotic and simple solution.

Richard , i had a Gauge panel all set up but i had to set it aside when i dropped the planned use of the Polaris CDI ignition . Now resideing will be a Koso gauge setup . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsWssLVYGPU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I feel a motor coming on....
Cases cleaned painted and ported. Crank rebuilt and welded. transmission from a GS - are all those issues resolved now Dave?
Do you have a good source for clutch plates? I just realized that I used the good plates in the last A I sold and all I have are the fiber ones and there's no way they will work with the massive torque my motor will make - yeah right

Clutch Plates
I put these into the dragbike...the GS750 and GT are the same but I suspect you guys already know that. The GS kit gives you one extra plate.
I dont detect the clutch slipping when I make a pass. With the wheelie bars, I launch above 7500 rpm....don't know how long the clutch plates will last but they certainly are grabbing presently. I also dont think the hp is real high yet. Maybe 75hp at the crank.

Thanx for the input guys
I was looking at the clutch basket the other day thinking about if it would be possible to machine the back of the basket enough to slip in one extra plate like the H2 guys do . The GS750 gear sets have there bearing pressed off and a couple of sets of GT gears with there bearings pressed off so i can pick n choose the best parts with the least back lash but then i still need to machine 4mm off the clutch end of the middle shaft . It looks hardened so it may be fun
.
