What I think I can see in one of those pictures is that the top flat section of the collector is canted at an angle. On mike it is more or less horizontal.
That suggests that either the collector was welded on at the wrong angle and needs to be changed or that the whole rear section needs to be rotated slightly. that would cause the bracket to be at an angle and it may have to be tweaked to make it work.
I would remove that rear hanger bolt and see if it's possible to rotate the whole rear section enough to allow it to fit.

Haha, don't hold your breath guys....she is currently off the road. I found that the header pipes were not seated fully into the collector and i was getting some blowback, not to mention smoke rising up from underneath the motor when sitting at traffic lights. I need to modify the rear mounting arrangement so that I get a good fit on the collector. So the pipes came off last weekend. I have also decided to do a water pump replacement while they are off. I hope she will be back on the road in a week or two. We have a vintage bike show here on August 31st so I want to be up & running before then. Sorry for the delay!

The road that runs by the place where I work is usually fairly quiet, except for this:

We only did one take of this just in case anyone was planning on calling the cops, but I think you can an idea of how this thing sounds.

Sounds good. On my screen the video is very narrow. Is that just me or is that a function of how the video was taken?
