gas cap lock

Can anyone tell me how I can take the lock out of a gt380 gas cap so I can swap it for a new one please some idiot used a screw driver on it,

If it is like the T500 I took the cap off (removed the hinge pin) and there is a "C" retainer fitted to each end of the lock barrel that holds the lock barrel in place by stopping in moving side to side. I'm sorry I don't have images to assist but if you fiddle with a fine screw driver to locate the end of the "C" retainer it pops off really easy. Once removed the barrel can be slid sideways then out.

If not clear (which is likely given my description :oops: ) I can pull one to bits and show you all the pieces.

I pulled mine apart but it didn't come with those neat black numbers. :?
