In 1975 I bought a brand new GT750. I loved that bike but eventually sold it and have wanted one ever since. I check ebay and craigslist everyday.
A couple of weeks ago on poped up about 10:00pm on a Sunday night. I arranged to look at it 7:00 am the next morning and bought it on the spot.
The bike has a ultra rare set of Henry Abe wheels on it! The ugly fairing and seat has to go but that is small stuff.

Hooked up the battery charger, some new gas and she belched and burped to life.
She sounds awesome, how I have missed the sound of a 2 stroke.
I dont know why somebody painted the frame blue but all in time.
I also have a cb750 cafe racer project going on also.
Will stay busy during winter

Good for you, now at least you know it runs, now to get around to fixing all the past abuse its had lavished on it. Nice wheels too in the bargain.

I believe those look like Kawasaki rear turn signals.

Is that a Kimtab on the rear ? Thought it was a Suzuki sno-flake at first but it looks different.

The wheels are stamped HA industries.
Yea the turn signals are not OE items. All of that is small stuff. I ordered a gasket set and stainless hex bolts for the engine.
Going to polish the engine covers and clean the rest. Relpacing the exhaust gaskets and bolts.
Plenty to do. Trying to get the cb750 project done for some more room in the garage.

Had a set of those 7 Star mags on my old 76 Buff in Florida. Really liked them. They were sold at one time from Dixie International.

I hadn't realised that the HA rims were not the same pattern front and rear - always had assumed it was a mis-match

Interesting that HA wheels were actually made by Asahi. I did not know that.....amongst a host of other things.

Been busy finishing up the other projects but did fix the leaking petcock with some new gaskets. Flushed out all of the old gas. Flushed the cooling system. The new gasket set came along with the stainless bolt set, master cylinder, couple of switch parts. Got some new grips and cables on their way. A new grandaughter has slowed down the parts buying!!! This is #4 !!! Doing a major rehab on the garage at the same time to get more room for the bike projects so I can continue to work during the winter. Need a set of chambers next!!!

I cant skip the bike question.....Do you have any good sources for the Suzuki Metalic Orange Flake paint? I want to paint my bike like the one I had back when I was a kid.

Well I did get the garage all cleaned back up afetr the holidays and the decorations are back up in the attic. So I had a chance to see where the oil leak was coming from and some gober decided to use old black washer hose for the oil tank hose and it turned to mush. SO since the carbs are off and the battery box it looks like im just going to keep taking it apart and clean and repaint. I started to order the parts I need. Found the paint ordered it.
