Replacing the crash bar around the radiator, there appears to be a need for some spacers between the crash bar and the frame where the top bolts attach the bar to the frame. I don't see any parts listed for these. Can anyone please tell me what goes in here, and if possible part #?
(The bike came with the optional butterfly crash bar fitted which filled this gap before. I don't want to put this back on just yet as it needs rechroming.)

Re: GT750M Radiator Crash Bar question
Nothing goes in between there, just slacken the lower mount bolts and push it in until it touches the frame.
It uses two bolts with a split and flat washer under their heads, thats all.

Two strokes, its just that simple.

Re: GT750M Radiator Crash Bar question
The crash bar is as far back as it will go. There are two vertical members which are almost touching the rad cover so it won't go back any further. If you look closely at the pic you can see that I've got the crash bar in position but there is still an inch or so gap between the top member and the frame mountings.

Re: GT750M Radiator Crash Bar question
Ok you have another problem now you have taken a wider photo view. Thats the wrong year crash bar on your bike, those are for 72 and 73 year models only.
You need the 74 to 77 model crash bar without the inner vertical braces.

Re: GT750M Radiator Crash Bar question
Thanks for the info Allan. I guess I'll put it out to the Forum if anyone has a later model crash bar that they would be willing to sell, please let me know. Does not have to be pristine either....need one with some rust to match the rest of the bike, haha! I'll post mine in the For Sale section in due course.
