GT750M Air Filter Element question

The foam element in my air filter has disintegrated. The metal frame is fine, so I don't want to buy the whole assembly if I can avoid it. Any ideas on a replacement foam element?

Direct replacement covers are readily available in Europe - one example is at this link: http://www.knalnaarpotz.nl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . At least one Dutch company still lists them - Moto Air under part 1050. Twin Air also used to offer them, but I no longer see them listed in their catalogue.

Or - as other on the board have done you can make your own. Just do a search for previous mentions. 8)

You can still buy them genuine from Suzuki.

Part number #13780-31210.

Yes and no - that number is for the whole filter with the wire frame - the cover by itself was originally offered under 13781-31210, and was quite a bit cheaper. 13781-31210 was superceded to 13780-31210 sometime in the 1980's - higher profit margin I suspect :?

As well as being able to delete a whole bunch of individual bits from inventory and parts lists. I have a feeling that motorcycle manufacturers will continue along this road of combining various bits into assemblies for spare parts sales.
F'rinstance, I found out last year that certain Hinckley Triumphs require that you buy the COMPLETE airbox assembly if your air filter needs replacement.
I sense at least ONE opportunity for an aftermarket parts genius....
