Of course it looks easy. It's a commercial. Duh!
To be fair they are simply removing a very light layer of oxidation where we tend to be dealing with old scars and years of staining and corrosion which take longer to remove.
After II watched that commercial (thanks for that) I tried a final buff with white rouge and what a difference that made. It really made a difference. I got my polishing compounds for Eastwood and if I'm stuck I get them from Menards.

Polishing aluminum is a nasty, thankless, PITA job. It ain't brain surgery, its just nasty, hard work, and the more complex the part is (try a Kawasaki H2 clutch cover) the worse it becomes.
