OK - it has started again

The 74L is on the bench now - frame off to the powdercoater and shinny bits with the Chromer.
Will crack the engine and work out where the gearbox oil was going so I can make my order with Suzuki.
In these crazy COVID times everything it taking longer to order and be repaired.

Gauges again!!!!!

The early GT's have a plastic convex lenses on the gauges - some have replaced them with flat lenses but run into trouble with the needle touching the lens.
Scrolling through eBay the other day and found a bloke in the UK that can supply convex lenses but the postage via eBay was horrible. Luckily he had included contact details in one of his pic's . A few phone calls later and they are in my grubby hands.

As Found - The Australian sun hasn't done the plastic any good!

Despite the UV affected lenses, the insides are near perfect. Some yellowing of the 1/10 dials but I can live with that.

As it is going on a nut and bolt resto, I thought it was fitting that the odometer be reset.

She was at work today. :hide

Smear of "No More Gaps" to glue it back together.

Happy with the final result!!!!
