1969 T500 build

Obviously didn’t need another project. But I noticed a mostly original 69 T500 was for sale, and figured it & the 69 T350 make a nice pairing.

Was snowing when the T500 was delivered this morning.

The shipper broke the side cover. But it was previously repaired & was probably going to brake again. So I don’t blame the shipper.

Am going to do a sympathetic restoration & keep the bike as original as I can.
New reproduction side covers are available. (They’ve broken often enough that somebody is making reproductions.) The 69 T500 has a black stripe on the tank. I’ll have the painter add the stipe when he paints the replacement side cover.
