1974 TS100 Magneto Resister Assembly

Post by HighwayStar »

I am restoring a '74 TS100 that had many parts in a box when I bought it. It is nearly complete, I'm working on the electrics now. I have an official Suzuki TS100 Parts Catalogue for that year that shows the magneto resistor assembly on the same page with the flywheel magneto and the ignition coil assembly (page 14). The flywheel magneto is obviously internal to the engine case, but it doesn't show where the magneto resister assembly is supposed to be mounted. It must be mounted externally to the engine case (?). I've looked in several other books for the answer, but no luck. I also use the Suzuki Parts House website to scrounge for parts, it shows the magneto resister assembly as an optional part (https://www.suzukipartshouse.com/oempar ... by-kokusan" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;"). Does anyone out there know what's going on and where it is supposed to be mounted?

I would think it mounts on frame behind side cover or under tank. According to wiring diagram it plugs into dark green wire from magneto and green with white trace wire from lighting switch. If you find these wire ends it should be close.
