Originally picked up a 1972 GT550 out of a field. If the odometer is correct at 310 miles this thing has been parked since 1972. I then picked up a 1974 or 1975 gt550 for parts. The 1975 is in much better shape other than the 1st piston is broken right at the wrist pin. I will most likely make 1 out of the two bikes and keep it somewhat close to stock
I will have the crank redone, engine will get new gaskets, seals, pistons and rings. I want to use as much Suzuki parts as I can pistons might be a challenge since I only see 3 1st over size on eBay at the moment. I know cruisinimage sells them but I’m hearing some iffy things about them. I found diablo cycles sells piston sets has anyone tried them?

Re: 1972 GT550 rust bucket
I’m using Wiseco pistons — pricey but they are good. Paul Miller has 1st & 2nd over listed on eBay.
