Proper sheen of badges

Post by dorT500 »

I've removed the old paint and am masking as needed before repainting my badges on on my '75 T500M. They were pretty weatherized and I don't remember if the original sheen on the background was a satin/semi gloss or gloss black. It wasn't flat black, right? I can't tell for sure from looking at badges on the internet. I'm pretty sure it was not gloss black but of course I want to make sure. I'm going to use Dupli-Color adhesion promoter/primer before the paint. Satin or gloss? Thanks for looking.
