It'll fit but may need some persuading.

Not sure about the airbox. I am wondering why the airbox was changed. I think the newer one would look nicer on your bike

Someone was replacing the engine with carburettor and airbox. I'm looking for a newer airbox. Maybe someone will want to exchange

If you change the airbox you also need the later side panels.

You already have later side panels. Just missing the chrome airbox panels and newer airbox

And we have it;

13267-34011 fits perfectly. I want to run it but first i should wash all the bearings and soften the crank seals as recommended Alan H. "filled each crankcase with diesel and turned".

I did not write anything for a long time. A little is happening. Parts already chromed, powder coating on the frame. I also bought a new couch. Problems also appeared. I have two cylinders Nicasil and one plain. I managed to buy a Cylas Nicasil but now I am looking for a piston and rings. Maybe someone wants to sell?

How to check if nicasil is still ok?

I don't know which handlebar will remain, "US" version or "M" type.

Starter clutches were a big problem with the early GT550s. Suzuki switched from the 3-roller design you have to a “Borg Warner” type on later bikes.
See Service Bulletin GT-26 for more info: http://www.ozebook.com/compendium/techb ... 022-26.pdf

You have three choices. Depending on the damage you have, you might be able to convert your bike to kickstart only. With a bit of luck you should be able to find the parts to fix your early starter clutch or get a complete “Borg Warner” setup.

Does the Borg Warner clutch fit for my motorcycle? Plug and play?

I try fix my starter clutch but i need to get the clutch gear starter. It's hard to get it, i think. Primary driven gear appears on eBay sometimes, but my locksmitch will try to repair this.

Complete clutch assemblies show up on eBay from time to time. Keep an eye out & you might get lucky while you are working on other aspects of your build.

The Service Bulletin explains the upgrade for a motor with the early design clutch to Borg Warner clutch.

Hi Tato - I have a NOS starter clutch part that your photos are showing as damaged. Happy to post it to you or put it on Ebay - my bike's clutch is the later one and I spent some time accumulating a few parts before stripping the engine to find which type it was, so it is surplus to requirements
