Candy lavender cafe J

Post by Suzsmokeyallan »

Finally getting around to dealing with the tanks and bodyparts for my 72 J model cafe bikes restoration.. For this project I had collected quite a few parts to have repainted in the lavender. The final count was two fuel tanks and filler doors, four side covers, four rad side covers, six HL ears, two HL bowls, one tail piece and one ft fender.

Thanks for the compliments, it was a labour of love and I wanted the end result to be as near perfect as possible. To make sure this happened I enlisted the services of a custom paint shop for the candy lavender colour and the tank striping which was done in paint and not decals.

Impressive. I have never been so impressed with the bottom of a fuel tank before...

Then you will be impressed by the level of detail on all the other parts as well. For example the interior of the side covers and radiator end covers are also painted and clearcoated like the tank.
