94? Rm250

Post by Jermworm112003 »

So I bought this what was told to be a 97 rm250 that needed a top end rebuild. Guy I bought the bike from took the jug off and it has sat outside, now for how long I'm not sure. But I have a few questions, 1. How can I look up the vin on the case to see what year the motor is? The frame vin says 94. 2. I noticed some sludge and water in bottom in around the crank, what can I use to to pour in there and flush out all the nasty stuff. Trying to stay away from splitting the case

Thanks but I have identified the bike as being a 94 but as I'm looking for parts for a 94 on the motor nothing is coming out right. So I have no idea what year the motor is. That's what I'm trying to find out. Thanks alot though!
