GT750 speedo assembly

Post by wolfgangh »

Hi, I have taken my speedo apart for a full restauration and a custom face. Now there is a thin rubber gasket left which I cant remember where to put it on. It is the thin gasket in the middle of the picture:

Does it go on the black outer cup of the speedo unit:

or the blue/green inner cup:

or on the main baseplate of the speedo:

On a GT750 it goes around the inner cup and seals the outer black part and the rear mount. On a sexy Bimota, things might be different....

Nice new face. What does the rest of the bike look like?

Thanks for that info, thats exactly what I wanted to know. Now I will starting fiddling putting the speedo housing together again.
The BIMOTA HBGT1 replica project just started - I have a rolling chassis, some bodyparts and a TR750 ported engine. JEMCO´s are on the way.
