Sorry TZ, I hadn’t noticed your post. Apologies for being rude and not answering. I have yet to see the Falkirk wheel up close. It’s always closed whenever I go there. My folks live in the NE Highlands. It is very nice up there.tz375 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 8:05 am I have relatives in Falkirk and Grangemouth area. Did you check out the Falkirk Wheel? It's an amazing piece of engineering. Quite a nice place to live.
A buddy of mine here in the Sates is from the Arbroath area and he really wants to move back to Scotland and he plans on getting a place way up the north east coast away from everyone. The pictures look great, but too far from civilization for me.

Below the text box you will see option & attachments - Press attachments
Then press Add files
Select your photo
Once status is a green tick press Place inline.
Hope this helps.

Re: Sportston GT380M Special
Lost patience with it.
Needless to say, the bike has two discs now and two finger braking is possible. If I had a degree in online photo editing, I would be showing you some pics, but after wasting hours trying, I’ve had enough. I give up. How can it be easier to work on the motorcycle than post a few pics?

This can even be done using Windows' built-in tools.
Load the image into Windows Paint (Windows accessory)
There in the "start" menu is the option "change size"

Re: Sportston GT380M Special
Hydraulic clutch now fitted!
I used the slave cylinder from a GSX1250 and a universal 16mm master cylinder.
I cut the old screw mechanism out of a spare sprocket cover. Then fitted the slave cylinder into the hole. It took quite a lot of finessing to make it fit. As I had cut a lot of the strength out of the sprocket cover, I made some thick aluminium braces to bolt the slave cylinder to. This should help prevent the likelihood of cracks developing in the thin casting of the cover. They look a bit odd but are completely hidden when the outer casing is fitted.
The black braided hose looks just like a cable and passes through the same place as the old cable did. I had to cut away a section and file away the threads to allow the hose to fit.
One thing I had to change was the length of the clutch pushrod. I got a spare long pushrod and shortened it so that is was a little longer than the old short rod (remember on the GT380 there are two rods, one long, and one short).
The first time I cut the rod too short and the clutch wouldn’t fully disengage. I got another spare long pushrod and cut it a little over 1mm longer than the other, then it all worked fine.
I will try to add pics of all this work when I have my laptop out. ATM I am using my iphone and can’t shrink the pics.

Re: Sportston GT380M Special
Dunno if you ever saw my version from 2020 (been out on that bike today, and still running very well) It's had a hard life, but very reliable!

Used standard clutch release parts -except for the drybollix bits - but once set up, it's never needed adjustment.
And that engine is ported, skimmed and very quick. Must get it on a dyno one day.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Re: Sportston GT380M Special
I tried that method myself before but it didn’t end well. It was too heavy for my weak fingers (My hands are a bit damaged). But worse still, the slave cylinder leaked over my nice paintwork Hence, this time I raided the Suzuki parts bin.
