I have been given what I am told is a 1986 RG250 which has no spark. I have not picked up the bike or seen it yet, but was wondering if there was a common problem with spark or just this bike.
Thanks in advance guys.

If it is a 1986 model, it's a Mk3 version with the full fairing. Not a common problem with these bikes. Maybe it has no battery?

I have one of these myself,
as garry said never known a problem,Although i have replaced the engine with a 350 YPVS, It's known as a YAMMAGAMMA.
