Unbelievable !!! You all know that crappy stamped out dust cover the goes on each end of the swing arm pivot? It's #9 in the photo. I can't tell you how many of those I just pitched in favor of new. They used to be about 3 bucks
PRICE!!!

Ouch !

I see in the UK the cost is £48 (including VAT) so about the same price range and therefore not a typo. Totally nuts.

Both of mine were in a poor state, one was distorted and flared. I found a socket about the same inside diameter and using a hammer (gently) tapped it back into shape. I'm getting them re-plated and I defy anyone (except of course a professional "rivet counter"

) to pick that they were beaten into submission.

Fritz,
Did the same with mine and they look nice and shiny zinc again
I had no idea they were so expensive. Bonkers, I bet they sell few to none.
Cheers,
Mike

Mike,
That's right!
Some folks do restorations with their credit card. I actually prefer to re-use most parts and try to dress them up so they look good and I'm not fussed about a evidence of pitting or restoration work etc. Some times it's a lot of work but I like the thought that I've done it that way. I have plenty of time on my side.
Cheers

Like others I clean and re-zinc many of the original fittings. I actually have a place close by that is very affordable, and just take in a coffee can full of bits and bolts and get them all done whenever the can gets full. The hardest part is sorting everything and then storing them so I can lay my hands on them as needed !

I researched this a while back and found out it was not a decimal typo at Suzuki USA, they are actually listed at that insane price.
I had a set that one was crushed at the edge and no matter how much socket shaping I did, (yeah I used that as well a long time ago) it still had a funny section I was not 100% pleased with.
Enter Ebay and a set for $20.00 with shipping included, so I simply got them.
I may get the s/s ones, well why not, you can never have enough spares,
I started painting a lot of the small parts instead of replating, as long as it does not require a tool coming into contact with its surface such as bolts and nuts. The metal speck paint can handle that issue on fasteners so even those can be freshened up without re-zincing.

Socket trick still works for me too but I did manage to get a pair off ebay that are my fall back stock. I may have to look at CB350/450/750 etc end caps to see if they fit. They are black but that works for me.

Funny thing about the part number shown in that eBay listing - the 59xxx-xxxxx part number sequence is normally for Suzuki brake parts. I wonder what if that is the correct packaging info or what it is actually from ?

Interesting that it mentions they come form the US.
So who is selling them and what are they for?

I bought a stainless set off ebay quite cheaply.
