What color of black should I use on the instrument housing cover? Semi-Gloss black? This is for a 72 GT 380

I may be wrong as I've had 380A and 380B but I think the housing, or case as they call it, is natural black plastic rather than painted. I've improved mine by thorough cleaning with white spirit and an old toothbrush followed by Simonize 'Back to Black' trim cleaner (a kind of coloured soft waxy thick liquid).
Not sure it would even take paint very well.

The cases can be refinished to look like new again and I've done quite a few of them. Here's some photos of finished cases done recently for restored gauge sets to complete the effect.
Contact me if you wish yours refinished, and I'll need to see some photos of the case as well.
