Suzuki 2 Strokes

Hopefully someone can answer this before I find out the hard way... Does anyone know if the GT550 ASCO claiper is steel or alloy? Specifically the floating arm. I peeled some paint trying to clean it last night and, if alloy, I'll finish the job and leave it natural. Otherwise, I'll try to find some paint worthy of a caliper. I just don't want to guess and end up with a rusted arm...

Can't tell for sure but just stick a magnet on it. If it sticks it's steel, if it barely sticks it's stainless, if it instantly falls off it's alloy (some sort of aluminum probably).
