How do you wire in a kill switch?

Post by TitanRider »

My bike didn't have a kill switch when i got it and the wiring diagram doesn't show one, but I picked up a throttle with kill switch off of ebay and was wondering how I should hook it up. It's got an orange wire and an orange/white wire.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Basically what you want to do is switch the coil + terminal. The orange wire should go to keyed positive. So, battery + to ignition switch, ignition NC switched side to the orange wire. Then the orange and white goes to where you currently have your coil positive, which is probably an orange wire, if your bike did not come with a kill switch.

Get a hold of a later model wiring diagram and you'll see how it all goes together.
