TC250-II

Back in 1970-71, in New Zealand, I had one of these. It was called a TC250-II, but I don't know if that was it's official model designation, anyway, it was a fun bike and, from behind, was often mistaken for a Stinger....until they tried to pass!
I believe it was mainly a US model - very few came in to New Zealand and I don't know if any came into Australia. Anyone seen any around your neck of the woods - or even just a set of the high pipes?
Old story - as you get old(er), the bikes of your youth have this appeal........

Hi,yes a few made it to OZ,we also had the T200 in smallish numbers,very rare to see a T125 Stinger these days...mainly only at Bike Shows,Rallies,very collectable !!

Too right! - I know of one in Christchurch, New Zealand - but it's Blue. Was a great little bike - handled gravel roads OK as well.

I have one of those in my garage. I had never seen a hi pipe model like that but when it came up for sale I jumped on it. I also have the chrome exhaust tips but they are not on in this photo. the only thing I had to do to make it a runner was put new jets in the carbs. PO had majorely buggered the low speeds and it would not run. And the US models had high bars on them. I thought they were strange but verified they are correct for this year and model.
All original except I had to recover the seat. It is a fun little bike, cruises easily at 60 to 65.
