Had trouble getting new tubes for my T250 so I brought Yamaha xs1 inner tubes and cut them down to fit.As long as the top bolt thread and outside diameter are the same this can work on any bike.xs1 top bolts are the same as my T250 and T350 bolts.the top picture is the fitted forks, the other two are the old and new and the cut off piece.the cost is less than half of the new tubes I got from Franks for my T350.

I went to ebay and dialed in XS1 fork tubes or front forks.found some lengthened ones and took them and the 250 tubes to an engineer to match.just remember to cut the bottom end not the thread end.Im lucky because I have an XS1 next to the 250.also not cheap to rechrome.this will only work if your top bolt is the large one.71-72 year.

Also try Mikes xs,about $145 pair.look under suspension.has to be 34mm.xs1-xs1b-xs2-tx1973.probably best place to go.

Does the fork tube change have any impact on damping or allow for improved damping?

Thanks for all the help, found some tubes on http://www.xs650direct.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, they have some standard length tubes on stock and the have a onlineshop in Germany, the standard tube length is 578 for the xs 650 tubes and the diameter is 34mm, the also have the big bolt with M28x1. (PartNumber 27-2002, 145€ a pair)
I measured my T350 tubes, they have 568mm including the attached piece on the bottom, will put them on a lathe this week........

Hi Guys realise this is an old post but hopefully someone will reply, I am also going down the road of getting some XS650 stations for a T250 , one question how do you get the bottom bush off the old forks , I am guessing you have to drill out what looks like a securing plug as it does not seem to go all the way through the rod
Any suggestions appreciated
