engine rebuild

Post by kblackburn »

Hi Guy's

Well the long awaited gearbox bearing has arrived, so now the engine rebuild can begin, my suzuki case bond has also arrived, but on reading the haynes manual states that I also need some suzuki thread bond for the engine oil seals ( medium strength ) ?. what do you guy's use ?

or can I use medium strength thread lock (blue) or should I use High strength (red ) normally used for bearing retention,
your advise sought.

Hummm , never put any locker on the seals during GT750 rebuilds but if they say too i think i would go with the blue just to make it easier to get the cases apart next time .
the older i get the faster i was

No sealant required on the seals unless the cases are scored or damaged and you need to fill the low spots.
