carb problem T350 Rebel

Post by givemeagirl »

A few week back i fitted a new complete carb kit from canada off ebay, before fitting with choke on engine would start and rev straight away ,but now with new parts fitted engine starts ok but will only rev after about 50 second warm up if i try to rev the engine it just dies, however once it's warmed up it runs great and the tickover is much better ,i have another t350 with all original carb parts and this will also rev and run ok after a few seconds, mmm ?

I'm unclear as to what your question is ? You say it now runs fine when warmed up - that's good news isn't it ? 8)

yes it starts ok and runs ok when its warmed up but over the years i'v had a t200, 3 t250s and 3 t350s all with original carb parts and they all started the same way , choke on ,start, and revs rise ,and within a few seconds will run ok, but with the new carb parts fitted i find it strange that it take around a minute before you can turn off the choke, i would have thought that it would start the same as before. ?

The T350 underwent two sets of jetting. one for the 1969 , then 70-72 was another. I think kits out there like keyster were for the early 69 only.

I see cruzureimage (ebay Japan) has a set now too. not sure if its is for early or later. I bought a set and will let you know.
