T350 - Forks from other models?

Hi Gang--

I'm new to the board, recently acquiring a 70 T350-II project bike. I don't plan to restore the bike just yet, but instead just want to get it running and on the road. I actually don't mind the "neglected in the backyard under a tarp" patina it currently has...

I have most of the parts, but some jerk butchered the wiring, so I'll probably be back on here trying to sort that out. But for now, I'm looking to replace the necessary parts to get it road worthy - starting with the front forks, which have been very challenging to find.

Anyone know if it'd be possible/easy (enough) to swap a front end from the T20/X6? There is a listing on eBay for the forks and triple tree at a fair price (and I love the look of the springs on the forks)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-T20-TC25 ... 53&vxp=mtr

Or are there any other models that would work? I would assume the T250 forks would work, but can't find a good set of those either...

And although I'm new to this forum, I know across the board what everyone wants to see.... PICTURES!

Wow, very cool! Look kind of similar to mine when I got it last year. Mine is almost done now, see this thread: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8205" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For the forks, do you mean just the inner fork tubes? If so, you can get a brand new set made which fits perfect, from Frank's forks, up in IL. You can look up his phone # on the web, but you have to call by phone to order. You can buff the outer fork legs back to their original luster. I got a set for $294 last year including shipping. Seems kind of high, but the quality is 1st rate. Otherwise, you might have to do some mods to get others to fit.
Good luck, you will have fun!

Mike-- your restoration work is worthy of praise, great job.

I've seen others recommend Frank's fork tubes from other threads as well. I most likely will go down that route if no one else knows what other model forks fit. I've learned that sometimes it's just not worth trying to make something work to save a little money in the long run...
