I just sold my NSR today....so it's time to seriously consider what bike or parts I should reinvest in. I know a guy with a RGV VJ21 and a RGV VJ22SP, that I can get for a good price.....both need some attention though. I also need new pistons and gaskets for my CBX....and billet power valves for my project RGV (pistons too....)....But that frame from the UK is really stuck in my head....or cut and weld my stock frame???

should I finish some projects, or start more.....???
It's a never ending question for me

Hi busa,

Bringing home a custom made lightweight frame is about as good as it gets when building a bike from scratch:

OK, that does not mean financially because it's so, so easy to get carried away :D but you sure can have a bunch of fun and can really say "I built that".

Trust me ....... do not touch the PHW TR750 frame with a barge pole he uses cheap hydraulic tubing for the frame, there are far better frame makers in the UK.

No Geoff, we looked at doing some seeleys for kettle engines but never got around too it, he's buggered off to NZ now working for a aircraft company.

but I do know the history of the PHW frame as the jig actually belongs to Spike but the hat man won't return it, and he lies about what tubing he uses

Ah well, I guess the aerospace industry pays better than bike enthusiasts.

Did my crank arrive yet, posted it last Friday.

Have you talked to Randy and Karsten Illg at Framecrafters in IL? Good guys that know their stuff and local too.

I have not made contact with anyone at framecrafters yet. Depends on the response I get, to my offer on the RGV's, as to which route I take on the GT/TR 750 street bike.

CMR is in Canada, not sure about a CML though....

If I keep most of the stock frame, this is where I will be starting.....definitely at the bottom
I'd never chop up a good bike....
