Help Removing Piston Pin Circlips t500

Post by Ronin7 »

I cant seem to get the piston pin Circlips on my T500? Anyone have any tips? The manual says to use a screwdriver but I can't get the screwdriver in to leverage the clip out.

Any tips/advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Nathan

If they are like the circlips I have dealt with, the is a little leg at the end of the circle. Grab that leg with needle nose pliers, rotate and pull
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Yeah, that is what I am used to seeing as well but these have no leg to get a hold of. I'm wondering if someone used the wrong ones! The pistons are mismatched so who knows. I'll see if I can get a picture of what I'm talking about.

Thanks,

Nathan

Ok figured it out- the circlips on the other sides of each piston have the leg that makes removing the circlip possible. I just did not seem them and focused on the side closest to me.

Thanks for the help!
