Gt 250 petcock

My petcock keeps leaking and I was wondering if I should just replace it with a new petcock that actually has an off position. Does anyone know of another petcock that could work?
You can get a manual petcock for around $50 to $100, depending on the brand.
Alternatively, Pingel has a vacuum petcock that's available via Amazon for around $180 -- have one on my GT250 & it works fine.
