Ahh - finally, my T500 lives again

Post by frappy »

I appreciate all of you who've given me advice and guidance. My '75 T500M is back among the living. I today went out for the maiden boyage - it was a banner day. Started on third kick! Bought it almost a year ago and have been slowly cleaning, replacing and tuning. Ultrasonically cleaned and then rebuilt the carbs, cleaned baffles, petcock, gas tank and plug wire ends, new battery and cable, intake tube rubbers and boot, new points, plugs and condensors. Was totally worth the wait. Runs so sweet. All the electricals work too. My first two stroke twin and I love it. The sound coming from those stock twin pipes is intoxicating. Thank you again to all those involved in establishing and maintaining this forum. :!:  :!:
