Suzuki 2 Strokes

Anbody have a good writeup / tips and tricks / for replacing the fork seals? Don't want to break anything...

When you've got the forks out drain the oil slide up the dust cover and remove the cir clip and loosen the allen bolt at the bottom of the fork with a buss gun and then you can slide the inner tube out the guide will push the seal out. You may have to bash it by sliding it in and out several times

Thanks for the replys! Would it be easier to change them with the inner fork tube still attached to the bike with the front end elevated?

On the GT500 if your fork dust boots are in good shape (most aren't), be very careful with them. Suzuki does not make them anymore, and they are hard to come by if you need replacements.

I actually bought a set of reproductions from a guy in France. They are excellent quality. My old ones were crumbling apart.

Fork seals changed... pretty easy!

Another job well done, how are the dust covers from François??

I concur. They look like factory and are of high quality. It only took about a week to receive them. Great guy.
