The Stinger is cool! :D I don't know if I've ever seen one in person, but I've always liked them. Didn't know there was a low pipe version. I have to say I like the high pipes better though. I guess part of the bike's appeal is its unusual appearance and the high pipes add to that.

H2RICK wrote:Ahhhh.....the Flying Leopard.....I know where there is one for sale and it's pretty much complete but unfortunately the owner is in the biz and he thinks it's made of gold.....so no T-125 for Uncle H2.....unless the guy comes to his senses. We'll see.... :D.....although I DO have the parts book for some strange reason....
I seem to remember this is how I ended up owning a KZ650 recently.....
H2RICK, if you don't mind my asking, what is the "gold' standard for a pretty much complete T-125 in your neck of the woods? I'd like to know as a point of reference. A '70 model showed up nearby me recently for $1.3k - mostly complete, but unrunning and rough. Thanks - Dane

Dane:
The last I talked to him about 1 year ago (when the economy was excellent) he wanted C$1000 (at that time the exchange was $1 to $1) and the bike is not running. I told him that was somewhat too rich for me. If he brought the price down to ~C$700 or so NOW, we might make a deal. Current exchange is about US$1 = C$1.20 or so.
I think US$1300 is pretty ambitious for such a bike as you mentioned, especially with the economy in the flusher. I'll bet if you offered him US$500 right to his face with cash in front of him he'd probably grab it. Of course he might be a rich old coot that wants the $1300 or no deal. You've got nothing to lose by trying....right??
