New member introduction, also looking for misc. T250 parts

Post by Dirty Dan »

Hey guys!

New around these parts, and around two stroke bikes as well. Picked up a 1971 T250 a couple of months back, as I'd been itching to get my hands on a two stroke bike. Only paid $100 for it!

I'm a regular over on the DoTheTon.com forums under the same username, dunno if any of you guys are members over there too, but it's a great spot full of incredibly helpful people.

Here's my recently finished (almost, still a few things to do... but are they ever done?) It's a 1974 Honda CB350/4. I still have to chop the frame in the rear and fab a hoop, but I wanted to get it on the road for at least a little bit before winter hits.

Here's a picture of the T250, I'm going to be bringing it back to stock. Not a full restoration by any means, at least not yet...:

As you can see, I need a few things... I got my hands on a seatpan and some sidecovers form a member over on DTT although the side covers are from a 350 and not period correct. They're not as rounded as the T250 side covers, as many of you guys know. I would be willing to trade my T350 side covers for a set off T250.

Here's the list of things that I know I need, as of now.

-Correct side covers
-Mirrors
-Headlight
-Fender Struts/Braces
-Gas Tank (I have a lead on one for $45+ Shipping, if you can do better... let me know)
-Seat Foam/Seat Cover
-Rear Grab Bar
-Air Box Assembly
-Air Box Hose
-Battery Box

Shoot me a PM! I'm sure we could work something out.

This is going to be my winter project, I'm fortunate enough to have an area indoors where I can work on it... I know I'd go stir crazy if I wasn't able to.
