Suzuki 2 Strokes

Picked up a couple more GT750's Today, and they came with these gems. One is a Windjammer III, and the other is an ultra rare Motion Trends
If you want them come get them, but I don't have time to box, or ship. On the Vetter its got a H4 bulb assembly so I want that, plus the turn signals. The other is missing some mounting hardware I think.








I could use a P-4 needle jet from the early carbs if anyone has one.



The best part was I scored a set of new unused FPP pipes, AND a new chrome Strader 3 into 1!!!!!!!! Will post pics later.

Great catch. Let's see those pipes and especially that Strader. There were two wersions of teh baffle and one is quieter and makes more power and supposedly the other makes more noise and less powere and I have no idea which is which, but I suspect the later design is the one that looks like a short version of an RD/GT type baffle

What's the general consensus on the FPP's? How are they for the street? I know the Strader has no top end, but a great sound.

Only one way to find out - try them on a DYNO.

FPP pipes are based on a Toomey design IIRC and on the RZ, they were great pipes at peak revs but lost some further down. I'd speculate that the GT pipes will probably share those characteristics. Someone had a set recently and couldn't get the bike out of the hole at the bottom end and disliked the lack of power until the revs were up a ways.

Did either pipe come with any paperwork like fitting or jetting instructions? That would be interesting to read.

Just got this with the Strader. The envelope has what feels like 3 main jets. Apparently the center cylinder runs much better than the other two, judging by the jet sizes.
I wish I would have gotten something with the FPP's.

Do you have a picture of the outlet end of that pipe?

Form what I learned so far, Strader listed three pipes for the 750 per 73, 74 and 75 on, and they came in black or chrome. Black was $154.95 and chrome was $189.95 so they were not cheap. I have no idea whether the different pipes had different dimensions or just different mounting brackets.

The PO was a pack rat, and his health is starting to go, so he's cleaning out the barn. I bet there's all kinds of treasures hidden away by people just like him.


The baffle is pretty goofy lookin. After the cone there is a straight section of pipe with what looks like a few hand drilled 1/8" holes in it. Too cheap to roll up some perforated metal? Anyway, it appears to be removable, but will need some persuasion to get it out.

That's slightly different to the one in mine. It has the same conical end, but the baffles look to be a different design









I wonder which works and which doesn't. I did see one picture of a Strader with a sort of conical reverse cone baffle end, but who knows what was inside that one.

That's interesting. I'll have to pull mine out to compare it.
