Replacing HT leads

My GT380 is running now.
One thing though I have seen posts that claim you can remove the HT leads from the ignition coils by breaking away any adhesive and then twisting and pulling the old lead out? Apparently there’s a spike inside to push the new lead onto?
I have gingerly tried this with my lead’s but they do seem well fixed.
Obviously I don’t want to rip them out and find you can’t replace them.
So can they be removed and new HT led’s fitted?

Funny .. this same topic popped up on Smokeriders list , here is a answer that was posted " I had have good results through replacing old, worn-through, corroded or too short HT leads in these GT coils. Though the conductors could last a lifetime, in practise the casings harden and crack or get rubbed away by friction, and core gets corroded at the plug cap end.Simply chip off the 'epoxy' holding the lead into the entry, and pull out the old lead. Push in the new one, measuring depth against the old one to be sure you have pushed it onto the spike far enough. Epoxy it in ."
