Starter Cluch Tools??

Post by jkevinlilly »

Looking for somewhere I can borrow the "special" tools for removing a 750 starter clutch. Will be happy to pay shipping both directions. Or some other easily obtainable ones I can use instead. Or for a method where I don't even need the tools listed.

GT Triples repair manual, page 16, right hand side of the page, upper

All you need is an impact gun to get off the nut and a sears steering wheel puller to remove the starter clutch. It works like a charm! Its totally the right spacing.

The stores carry a slightly different version. I think I paid like 25 bucks for it. The only way to go.

Thanks TZ. Hopefully this will let me avoid some of the problems others have already lived through. Now just to avoid inventing some new ones. :)
