GT250 rearsets

I am slowly working on my GT250 cafe project. I want to adapt some rearsets to it but it looks like the stock exhaust will get in the way if I mount them near the swingarm bolts or in the rear peg location. Has anyone done rearsets on one with stock exhaust with pictures?

I would go with expansion chambers if I could but from my research they don't exist without modifying some from another bike.

Here is a picture of the bike when I got it.

These are off a Yamaha and are on my GT250 right now. I am changing to a different set this week.

Are you interested in selling those? What kind of chambers are on it?

I made mine by having the peg screw into the stud used for the stock muffler location. The rearset fits onto the peg, using a bronze bushing. It may work for the stock muffler, or you may have to jog outboard a bit to clear.

Your information on expansion pipes is wrong. The pipes on my bike are Ocelots, but there are others that exist as well (Jemco maybe, Swarbrick, etc)

I suppose what I should have said is expansion chambers are very hard to find in the US without paying a lot to ship from the UK or NZ.

I have sent them an email. Last time I checked a couple years ago they didn't produce anything for the GT250. I did find some pipes from Griggspeed for the X7 that might work but at ~500 thats almost what I paid for the whole bike.

If you want new made chambers then sadly... you are gonna have to pay. I paid 700 to Jemco for the set on my 550

We make rearsets for the Gt and T500 and Gt750.....and may just be the only manufacturer of purpose built rearsets for these models on the planet.
The frames on the Gt twins, are all pretty much the same, just varying in size, so the components would all be pretty much the same, with just different measurements.
Our rearsets work with stock pipes too..........
