Don't know what the reserve price will be if he lists it again on eBay, or what he will sell it for locally.
I don't know what the mods did to handling. Would expect some of the experts on the forum to have some insight into that.
Returning it to stock would be expensive if you don't have a clean parts bike. (wheels, rear fender, front end, paint, exhaust, ...)
Converting to a cafe look wouldn't cost that much. (cafe seat, rearset pegs, lower handlebar, mirrors, ...)
If its what you want, then I'd say its easily worth a good bit more than $1,000
Definitely worth asking what original parts he has & what condition they are in.
BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more
Without the front part of the rear fender and with that 16" wheel at the furthest point back, that long swingarm sure looks odd. If it runs well has a title and all the original parts, it should be worth more than $1000 I would have thought.
