A new sticky maybe?

I was thinking of getting a sticky started on engine weight. Out of curiosity, I weighed my 77 Buffalo motor while it was out. Fully assembled but dry it weighed 160 lbs or 72.57 Kg. I neglected to weigh my 550 motor while it was out so I don't have that figure. I would guess it's more like 120 Lbs. Unless looks deceive me, I would say the RE5 is the King Kong of them all.
Since a lot of you guys have motors out right now, it takes just a minute to rob the bathroom scale.
Sound like a good idea?? Of course I can't create a sticky as I am not a moderator.
So if you guys like the idea, Lets have lots of responses to this post.
By the by, I have this nifty little program that converts pounds to kilograms and vice versa. And when I say little, it's under 400 kb. I woulsd email this to anyone that has a need for it. Includes temp and lenght as well.

Sounds good to me - although I'd put it in the Repairs or in the Restorations threads rather than here.

We also need one that lists which bolts are 'S' bolts and which ones are not.

I've got my gt 550 motor out and can weigh it. I'm assuming I should weight it fully assembled (clutch, alternator, covers), but what about the carbs?

My carbs were off the buffalo motor when I weighed it. I just laid them on top of the motor for a total of 160. Gary, for what it's worth, I'm going to estimate the 550 weighs 117 lbs.

I didn't weigh my 550 when I had it out last, but carrying it out and setting it in the frame it didn't seem that heavy, and it was pretty much complete except for the carbs and ram air covers. Maybe the excitement of getting it running again had me pumped up?

Guys get the engine weights and "S" bolts all listed out and I'll put up all the info as a sticky. While you are at it how about some frame weights as well.
For engine weights please include the carbs and starter motor since that makes it a complete 'power unit'.

I'm not sure what a sticky is, but my engine weighs in at 135 lbs. Gary
