petcock question

petcock question

Am getting ready to run a recently acquired bike for the first time. Has an aftermarket petcock. Haven't found any indicators identifying the various positions.

Anyone know what position is what for this petcock?

looks like on or off are only positions

Thanks for the response.

Figured out that the petcock is actually for an old British bike. Doesn't normally attach to the Suzuki tank, so the prior owner welded on a nut for attaching it.

yes..it looks like some cobbled on petcock..is it silicone or epoxy or weld
