I dont know if this has been covered.I reassembled the oil tank and lines.the oil flows from the tank to the pump and stops.I disconnected the right line to try and bleed it thru.no go.the motor is not ready to start yet so will the oil flow when I power up. :?: Alan

Probably. The only way for oil to drain through the oil pump is if the ports happen to align exactly with teh motor stopped and that's unlikely. Fill the lines first with a different color oil it doesn't matter what type or grade.

When the bike fires up, you should see the oil change color within a few minutes from the color you filled it with, to the color of the oil in the tank.

Also Tie the Oil pump Lever Wide open when you start it.

Do all pumps have a vent screw to bleed the air out?

Hmmmm.....good question, Barry.
All the GT triple pumps certainly do.
IIRC, all the "flat" style pumps that the Suzi twins use have a bleed screw on them.
I know the Suzi dirt bike flat style pumps have a bleed screw.
The Kwakker triple flat style pumps have a screw, too.
There MAY be some of the really early pumps that don't have a screw...maybe on the K and M series tiddlers from '66 or thereabouts....but I'm certainly no expert on those.
Allan can probably enlighten us on those.
