Suzuki 2 Strokes

Hi,
I'm running into a roadblock getting base gaskets for my GT750. When I called Ride Now they said the part was coming up discontinued. When I tried to order it through BikeBandit I got a back order response. Is there a good source base gaskets? I guess I could just go ahead and get the whole gasket kit for an extra $30. Any ideas?

Either get a complete gasket set or order from COMETIC. They will cut you a gasket in any number of different materials and thicknesses.

That's a good point. Could I also cut my own from some gasket stock? Are there any tricks to that?

I would cut a paper gasket fora side cover, but the base gasket HAS to seal. Any leaks there and it's potential melt down time.

cometic already has spacers in aluminum and base gaskets so that is a no brainer. Get them from Cometic. You can also get copper if you so desire.

Yep .. i just ran into this same problem . I paid for 2 base gaskets at Suzuki just to get a call back a couple of days later that they couldnt get them .. looks like Cometics will be getting a call from me too
