Finally got the old 76 on the road (legally) haha. Still has the original tires from 1976 on her. I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for good tires and sizes. I have an 18" rear and 19" front. hoping to get a wider rear as it is a 3.5 now. I was looking at she Shinko 705s but im open for opinions. Thank you in advance.

The rim widths on these old bikes limits your tire choices. Stock rear tire is 3.5x18 on a 1.85x18 rim. From what I've found, wider tires will require wider rims. Also, I'm no expert on this, so I would look for some advice on what a stock front + wider rear combination would do to handling.
Had the same problem with my T350. It had 1.65x18 & 1.85x18 F/R rims. Per advise from this forum, went with 1.85x18 & 2.15x18 F/R rims, and 90/90-18 & 110/80-18 F/R tires. Avon Roadrider & Bridgestone BT45 tires were recommended for this setup.
All comes down to how much you want to spend. For the T350, I went with wider rims & tires. For the GT250, I kept the cost down and went with stock rims & IRC GS-11 tires.

Bridgestone Spitfires are a good value also.
